Our Management

Our management team oversees all aspects of home management, care and staff development. They are staunch proponents of equal rights for people with a learning disability and have a high level of expertise and depth of knowledge. Highly regarded in their field, they are particularly experienced in working for people with a learning disability and additional intensive support needs. They are committed to fulfilling the ethos of the company.

Staff

Constable House management consist of a Home Manager and 2 Senior Support Workers, all of whom have extensive experience and skills in supporting people who have Learning Disability and complex needs.
There is also a core team of Support Workers, again with extensive skills, knowledge and experience.

Staff Ratio to Service User

Appropriate staffing levels are based on the outcome of a comprehensive and Individual assessment. On a night 1 -2 members of staff doing waking night depending on the needs and how many people we support  are using the facilities. A maintenance team is also available.
The Home Manager will normally be available from 9am to 5pm; at times this may vary to accommodate the needs required in the home. A senior support worker and the appropriate number of additional support workers are present on each shift. In addition to this, there is always a Manager/Senior member of staff available on-call.

Staff Training

Constable House  recognises that investing in staff training results in staff who are skilled, motivated and competent. Mandatory training includes.

The Introduction training programme includes:

• Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) • Person Centred Planning
• Epilepsy and Autism Awareness Training• Risk Assessment Training
• Advocacy• Medication Training, Report and Recording

Statutory training includes:

• First Aid• Record Keeping• Equality and Diversity• Infection Control• Basic Food Hygiene• Health and Safety• Moving and Handling
• Fire Awareness• Safe Handling of Medication

Specialised Training Staff Complete

Buccal , Midazolam, Epilepsy, Autism, Spectrum Disorder, Preventation of Challenging Behaviour/ Mapa, Total Communication Peg Feeding,
Vulnerable Adults, Eating & Drinking

Advanced Training

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
LDQ Level 2 or 3 (Learning Disability Qualification) this replaces LDAF & is required if common induction hasn’t been attended LDQ Framework if available

The skills of senior staff also enable Rely Care to run in-house education in areas such as:
